Hi. Why do the NAND become short after replacing them. What could I be doing wrong. I get them from another board without short at all. Reball them and solder them to the target board and suddenly there’s a short on 0V9 rail. Please help

Very intelligent video - thank you. Also Apple has really has me pissed when they recommend a measly 8gb of memory - as this INCREASES the amount of SWAPPING off the the SSD to a huge degree. People who go that route - small SSD, tiny amount of RAM are just ASKING for a failure. The fact that Apple is doing this to their users is reprehensible. To top it all off, they aren't even repairable - what a disaster.

16GB is already enough, why would anyone upgrade their laptop to 32GB.

and this is how Apple controls their upgrading hardware services, in order to force clients to buy almost exclusively to them, doing users life unnecessarily more difficult, when this could be as easy as switching a regular RAM from RAM slot. Now same struggle with graphic cards, is also soldered into the mother board, if any of this component fall in damaga all the computer fall in damage and make it unusable. I'm talking from experience, is 3rd time I lost a mac because of a soldered graphic card fails.

Assistance Needed: M1 MacBook Air (A2337) Storage Upgrade Error During DFU Restore encountered while attempting a storage upgrade on my M1 MacBook Air (A2337). In an effort to expand storage capacity, I attempted to replace the original SSD with aftermarket NAND chips. Following the relevant disassembly and soldering procedures, I successfully entered DFU mode on the MacBook Air. However, during the software installation process, an error message occurred, abruptly interrupting the installation. Unfortunately, the MacBook Air is now stuck in a boot loop, displaying the following message: "System cannot be restored on this device. The operation couldn't be completed. (AMRestoreErrorDomain error -1 - Failed to handle message type StatusMsg (Generic error)) [AMRestoreErrorDomain - 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF (-1) [sys = 0x3F, sub = 0xFFF, code = 0x3FFF (16383)]]" It is important to note that I did not utilize the original USB-C cable during the restoration process. Any idea how I can solve this ? And break the loop and the problem also looked on apple community support. just add external usb or external ssd or make windows on external ssd hard and all memory didicate for execution program and registry ddram
